I’m a wave artist based in Hamilton, New Zealand, ironically one of this country’s few large cities without a beach. While my works are created here, you’ll find me in or around the ocean most of the time. Waikato, Coromandel, Auckland and Taranaki coasts are popular haunts. I take photos and interpret my favourites with soft pastel.

I love the ocean for as many reasons as are there are waves themselves. Each wave has its own personality and my pictures are a portrait of their short-lived expression in nature. I find myself excited wondering which personality I’ll be painting next.

Wave art is meditative for me, and I enjoy losing myself in the creative process with music playing a big role as well.
