About the artwork

'Greenish Blue or Bluish Green' captures a view into the water from Lee Breakwater in New Plymouth. In this piece, I ponder which pastel colours to use - ultimately deciding to incorporate both. The waters here are calm and protected from the sea just a few metres away. They say if you stare into the water, you can see your future here. They don’t really say that, but it’s a nice meditative experience to sit and stare into the deep blues and greens. Focusing on the depths takes me further away from the thoughts and dramas of the day.
