About the artwork

Nautical themes have always intrigued me, particularly flags, blues, and sea spray. The perfectly straight horizon separating the blue sky from the ocean, the azure band of sea, and the green wave in the foreground evoke the striped pennon of Orewa Beach. 'Pennon Stripes' celebrates Orewa Beach’s colour palette, showcasing the beauty of North Auckland’s coastline.
